White Sands – Sanibel Beachfront Penthouse Remodel

Completely remodeled by BVI in 2026, White Sands Unit #33 is a sophisticated beachfront penthouse on Sanibel Island’s West Gulf Drive. This family-owned three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence features a private den and cabana and was designed as a personal retreat for the owners, their family, and friends—it is not used as a rental property.

The two-plus-year renovation was a true full-scale transformation. BVI oversaw the contracting process from start to finish and guided every build and design selection, including cabinetry and hardware, plumbing fixtures, appliances, crown molding, flooring and bath tile, doors, wallpaper, paint and trim colors, furniture, window treatments, artwork, and accessories.

The design vision was to create a light, inviting palette with a sophisticated blend of soft pinks, warm corals, and subtle greens. Natural materials and organic textures bring warmth and depth throughout the home, with rattan and woven seagrass furnishings paired with beautiful burlwood chests and grasscloth wallpaper.

Touches inspired by the surrounding beach environment—including shell artwork and carefully selected coastal accessories—add a sense of place without making the interiors feel overtly nautical. Instead, the home layers relaxed coastal elements with refined furnishings, elegant finishes, and joyful color.

The result is a high-end Sanibel retreat that feels collected, personal, and effortlessly welcoming. Every detail was thoughtfully selected to reflect the clients’ love of quality, style, warm tones, and natural textures while creating a home that celebrates the beauty of its beachfront setting.
