Located at the northernmost point of Captiva Island, this remarkable penthouse at Lands End presented an opportunity to create a sophisticated coastal retreat that celebrates its extraordinary surroundings. Overlooking the pristine waters of Redfish Pass, every design decision was made to enhance the home’s panoramic views while delivering a timeless, luxurious living experience.
Bridget led the project from concept to completion, serving as both project manager and interior designer throughout the home’s comprehensive renovation. Working closely with the client, she orchestrated every phase of the remodel, ensuring that each element reflected a refined coastal aesthetic while maintaining the warmth and comfort of island living.
The design palette draws inspiration directly from the surrounding landscape, layering soft blues, tranquil greens, and subtle coral accents to echo the sea, sky, and native flora. Bridget personally selected every finish throughout the residence, including the wide-plank wood flooring, custom bathroom tile, statement fish wallpaper, plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinet hardware, and quartz surfaces. Each selection was thoughtfully curated to create a cohesive, elevated design that feels both elegant and effortlessly livable.
Beyond the architectural finishes, Bridget furnished the entire 2,300-square-foot residence, hand-selecting every piece to complement the home’s serene coastal character. Custom draperies were designed for the expansive sliding glass doors, while Hunter Douglas motorized window treatments were incorporated throughout to maximize comfort, privacy, and unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape.
The open-concept living spaces were intentionally designed to flow seamlessly from indoors to out, allowing the breathtaking scenery to become an integral part of the home’s experience. Private guest suites offer comfort and retreat, while the upper-level primary suite was transformed into a tranquil sanctuary with sweeping waterfront views and a spa-inspired bath that evokes the feeling of a luxury resort.
This project exemplifies Bridget‘s full-service approach to interior design—combining thoughtful space planning, meticulous project management, carefully curated materials, custom furnishings, and layered details to create a home that is as beautiful as it is functional. The result is a timeless coastal residence that reflects both the client’s lifestyle and the unmistakable beauty of Captiva Island.
